| Department's History |
| The Department of English has been in existence since 1994. We teach English to students not only at Foundation level, but also English as a general subject for all students in the college. We introduced B.A., English Major (C.A) and M.A., English. We have spacious and well-lit classrooms. The teachers in the department are well qualified.. The aim of the curriculum of the Department of English is to deepen the knowledge of the literature, language, cultures, and societies of English-speaking countries, and to develop an ability to grasp one self and the world in a wide perspective. The courses are divided into two groups. One group is to improve English language proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, with special emphasis on logical expository writing skills, and the other includes core courses in English and American literature, British cultural studies, linguistics, and American studies, with business English. |
