NSS units were started in 1996.Since its inception it has now grown into 6 units having an annual enrolment of 600 boys and girls. Special camps are organised in adopted villages every year.

Our NSS units have adopted nearby villages (PONNERIPATTI, PADAMUDIPALAYAM, KEELSATHAMBUR) where they conduct annual camps. They have been doing village, school, public place cleaning,repairing water tanks, water harvesting schemes, adult literacy classes, AIDS awareness programmes, First aid classes, blood donation camps, cooking classes, nutritional awareness etc. During the camp cultural programmes and sports competitions for the children of the villagers are conducted. Our NSS students participate regularly in public cause awareness rallies like Traffic safety, AIDS awareness, Environmental awareness and Election awareness rallies in the nearby towns. In all the local area festivals our NSS student volunteers serve in controlling and regulating the crowd and serve food in the ANNADHANAM.
