Department of Computer Applications

The Department of Computer Applications was established in the year 2006 to produce world-class software- professionals in the emerging areas of Software Technology. Computer Science is a field of unlimited growth and limitless possibilities. It encompasses a large and rapidly growing body of knowledge engineering, information processing, communication, languages, and information systems.
Computer engineers are the most-sought after professionals in any part of the world. At PGP College of Engineering and Technology, we produce well-informed computer engineers who can excel in software and hardware jobs.

Objective

To provide a quality learning environment, in terms of inspiring teachers, state of the art facilities, experience sharing and widening the knowledge horizon, interacting with experts from academia and industry, facilitating the student in the process of growth in the Computer Applications field.

Curriculum Features and Activities:

The department offers two Post-Graduate programmes

	M. C. A. (Master of Computer Applications ) � 3 Years
	M. Sc.( Software Engineering ) � 5 Years (Integrated course)
	M. Sc.( Information Technology ) � 5 Years (Integrated course)

Faculty Welfare Schemes

	All the members of faculty who pursue Ph.D. programmes can utilize laboratory, software/hardware and other facilities available in the institute.
	Necessary TA and DA are granted to members of faculty for attending Seminars / Conferences / Short Courses in India.
	Registration fee for Faculty Development Programme.
	Grant of registration fee and soft loan for travel to attend International Conferences abroad.
	Three months maternity leave with full pay for lady faculty members.
