| Prof K. Viveakanantthann is the Principal of the college since 2003.He completed his Graduate degree in Textile Technology in 1973 and Post graduate degree in Business administration in 2000. He has rich academic knowledge and teaching experience of more than 20 years. Also he has 15 years industrial experience. |
| He is now guiding PGPPTC in a right way. Academics, Staff and Students are showing their happiness not only for having associated with PGPPTC but also for having guiding forces like him. |

In March 2008, Directorate of Technical Education(DOTE) selected 14 Polytechnic Principals out of 259 Polytechnic colleges all over TamilNadu to attend Faculty Development Program at Republic Polytechnic, Singapore. He was one of the 14 selected for this. He visited Singapore and attended this program. He was a Resource Person for Five Staff Orientation Programmes. |
